campo.

today i got a guided tour of the ruins. i went early with my friend, mauricio, and we were the first people in the park. for lack of better words, the park was absolutely tranquilo. i clearly have been to busy to charge my camera battery and only got three pictures. my collection, therefore, will await pictures from all my friends and family that visit. :)

this week i also went on my first trouble-shooting hike in the campo. i went with seven campasinos and we hiked a good amount of time to look at a system that i really should have known more about before i went. i felt rather lame when i had to tell the men that no, i actually can't continue, can we continue by car? they totally out-hiked me and it was example #1 that cross-training should be mandatory with life as a wat/san peace corps volunteer. (along with doing a bit more research about the water system that is to be inspected.)
